Welcome!

Welcome to a piece of our sweet journey of life. This blog is about our family life-- my husband, my type 1 diabetic seventh grader, my spunky fifth grader, my second grader little girl, and myself! Enjoy!

Christmastime is Here!

Crank up Angela Lansbury's "We Need a Little Christmas" and grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this peek into our Christmas decor!

This is our second year with this tree and we love it!

I bought this little tree last year and the kids enjoyed putting their own spin on it! It sits on our backpack shelf with a wooden nativity and apparently a wooden plane.

This wooden reindeer belonged to my aunt & the elves have enjoyed sitting in it earlier this month.

I love my traditional Santa figure!

With no staircase or other large format area for this banner, I decided to hang it on our bookshelf. On top is my special nativity set.

I used to keep a very cleaned off coffee table but I recently discovered that I love to display books & important trinkets and I feel as though it makes the room more cozy. On the TV stand, you can see our Christmas countdown blocks and the toy nativity set that the kids play with.

The kids like placing the new character onto our advent calendar each day.

I am LOVING having my mantle this year at Christmas!

My mother in law gave me a spare Christmas cactus last year and I'm doing my best to do it justice. The wooden block penguins were a Christmas craft from a ladies night at church in November.

I am so enjoying my big window sill in the dining room. It hosts Santa pictures, Christmas cards, and little trees.

Our Jesse tree is in the skinny window of the dining room. The kids like finding the ornaments (in the silver box) and hang them on the tree as we read the corresponding Bible story.

This photo shows lots of dining room table fun! A handmade placemat (made by my Nana), festive salt and pepper shakers, a container with ornaments, and our fun coloring tablecloth.

This morning, our elves were taking a Christmas carriage ride.

Target has CUTE dish towels and I love the whimsical city scene!

Our elves have also enjoyed our Christmas jars.

And they also drew Minion faces on the bananas one morning.

Falalalala friends! Merry Christmas!

Until Next Time,

Fall Fun Picture Roundup

Here's a photo collection from our fall fun. I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks til Christmas!

Avery's dance studio did a cartwheel activity one evening before class.

She placed a temporary tattoo on her face before I knew what she was doing. :)

On our way to a dance event!

Candy corn punch!

Wavy hair for school!

We attended a fall festival that my coworker invited us to and the kids made Salvation Candy (pixie stick powder). So cute!

A ballerina doing a pirouette!

Michael's creation was Kirby! (Noah picked a long white gourd and chose not to carve it.)

Watching a Charlie Brown movie one morning before school.

Fall Fun Day at the elementary school!

Getting ready to trick or treat!

As Avery & I had rehearsals multiple Tuesday nights in November and December, we'd pack a sack dinner and watch a movie in the truck until rehearsal started. It was a fun little event to help us through the late nights.

Noah's ornament creation made to look like my parents' dog.

Giving belly rubs to our country porch dogs.

Every kid got to pick out a small tree for their rooms.

I made Star Power Rice Krispy treats for a Mario themed celebration at work.

Sponge roller curls!

A beautiful fall sunset.

Up next will be Christmas things!

Until Next Time,

More Reminders

It felt like a good time to do another round of Reminders especially during the holiday season & the pressures it can bring.

Breathe deeply, friend. Maintain an eternal focus.

Be present in your today. We only get one go at this.

Until Next Time,

Much Love, Reba
