Friday Favorites- May 28, 2021

Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites! I can't believe it's already the last Friday of May, but I'm certainly not mad about it! Next week is my last week of school, and I am so ready!

I have a random assortment of favorites for today.

First is this dress from Amazon!  I originally searched for this after seeing it on Cassie's blog, and I liked it in the monochromatic color scheme she showed it in.  HOWEVER, after looking at the dress online for myself, I saw this navy & orange color combo and just had to have it for my Auburn Tiger loving self!  I ordered in the medium size for better fit in the shoulders since reviews said it ran a bit small there.  Overall, I'm glad I went with the medium fit because it is very flowy and it's just a tad away from being too tight across the shoulders.  The length was great out of the packaging, and I even took special care to let it hang dry and not put it in my dryer.  However, it still seemed to shrink a bit and I was a tad uncomfortable at school today with the length.

Snuggles with this girl are a favorite for sure!

Most mornings, she'll wake herself up and come into our room bundled up in her blanket and holding her baby doll, which she did declare to one of her brothers today that it's "not a doll.  It's a baby."

I love this little festive dress for summer!

The back of it is my favorite part!

Gigi bought each kid new clothes at Wal-Mart this past week.  Michael got some new PJs and he loves them!

Noah got a NASA outfit and this is such a sweet homage to my aunt who worked for NASA.

Avery received lots of bright colored clothing to include this butterfly shirt and unicorn shorts!

Last week, we had our roof replaced and good gracious alive... the mess was certainly NOT a favorite, but the new roof within 2 days (really, a  day and a half!) is fantastic!  Today we're actually getting our first bout of rain in over 2 weeks, so I'm pumped that I don't have to worry about water leaks!

While we waited for the roofers to be done on the first night, we took the kids into town to waste time.  Wasting time is actually just code for spending time together doing fun stuff.  We took them to dinner, then to wander around Bass Pro Shops.

Avery was pleased to play with Color Wonder markers and princess paper and I love Color Wonder markers too!

I ordered this flag t-shirt on Amazon with part of my birthday money and it's so soft.  I love it!  It's an extra thick t-shirt material which is kind of nice.  I ordered a medium for better fit.

I checked out one of my favorite library books.  I'll probably end up buying it for myself.  It's just a nice easy read without a lot of conflict, but still enough of a story line.

Having my boys get along (in a vehicle no less) is a blessing.

The boys finished up their school year this week with awards ceremonies.  We are so proud of them!

All of my kiddos are on summer break now and I'm ready for my turn too!

Until Next Time,

Friday Favorites 01.08.21

Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites.

This week, Avery found some Frozen stickers and gave herself a little makeover. :)

Michael was pleased to show Gigi that the new shorts she bought him fit very well!  Right now he's using them as night-shorts since it's too cold outside to wear them during the day.  However, later on this spring and into summer, these will be used often!

Santa brought both boys a National Geographic Dinosaur Fossils kit, so Noah and Avery were working on Noah's set this past weekend.

She thought it was hilarious that I overlaid some of my dark brown hair over her light blonde hair!

These days since I'm wearing a mask most of the day (unless I'm in my classroom alone), I choose to accessorize with big earrings.  These are part of a set on Amazon that Michael gave me for Christmas!
They're very lightweight and make a big statement.

Michael (and little sister helper!) conducted an experiment this week for one of Michael's virtual classes!

We are blessed with some AWESOME sunrise views in our backyard.  This was a very "wintery" version one day this week!

When cousins come to play, rolling down the big hill in Grandma's front yard is a must!

Friday Favorites 12/18/20

Today I'm linking up with Andrea & Erika for Friday Favorites!

We've been keeping pretty busy this month!

Noah lost his first tooth!

One day, Avery decorated salt dough ornaments while her brothers did virtual school.

All three kids opened a "stone work shop."

My mother-in-law caught a rare kind moment between my sons. :)

Avery was very impressed by her gingerbread decorating skills.

Michael conducted a science experiment one day for his virtual science class assignment.

Last night, the kids and I ventured to a nearby neighborhood to see their Minion Christmas light show!

Michael received a white board & dry erase marker from his teacher and all three kids have loved drawing on it.  Michael usually draws comics while Avery and Noah choose to draw me "with curly hair."

One morning, our elf left ornaments for each kiddo (I'm pretty sure they were more pumped than this photo lets on.) :) Noah received a police ornament (with boots, a badge, and hat), Avery received a unicorn, and Michael received a Greninja (Pokemon character).

Today is an e-Learning Day for us (all kids in the county are doing virtual school today) and I must admit, this is a favorite too!

Friday Favorites - 09-18-20

I'm so super grateful it's Friday!  Today was an eLearning Day in our county, so I got to be home with my kiddos and help them navigate their classwork while I helped out my own students via email.  It was really nice to have a slower morning where I didn't have to be "ready" til nearly two hours past my usual time!

I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika today for Friday Favorites!

First up is how Avery entertains herself while her brothers are doing their schoolwork.  She's such a good sorter!  My mother-in-law says she should have Avery come over and organize her dresser drawers!

Next is the awesome German Chocolate Cake we made for my father-in-law's birthday last Sunday.  We were so pumped with how well it turned out!

Our nephew is wearing a new medical ID bracelet and he isn't quite a fan of it yet.  To help him with this transition, I sent a photo of Michael sporting his medical ID bracelet.  My nephew really looks up to Michael, so I'm hoping this encourages him that his role-model cousin has a bracelet too!

I received a few "on point" memes this week!

This one literally describes Avery for any car ride.

My husband and I got a chuckle out of this next one:

I shared the following meme with my students and they all think this is a good possibility and a hopeful outcome.

I saw these shirts on jane.com earlier this week and loved the phrases and the color combos!

Thanks for stopping by!
