Welcome!

Welcome to a piece of our sweet journey of life. This blog is about our family life-- my husband, my type 1 diabetic sixth grader, my spunky fourth grader, my first grader little girl, and myself! Enjoy!

February Recap

We've stayed pretty busy around here lately. We kept Valentine's Day low-key. The kids had their class parties the Friday prior to the holiday. Noah & Avery used store bought Valentine's (Scoob & metallic unicorns). Michael designed his own and we also got inspiration from online to create a second choice. We placed an order at Office Depot to have them printed on cardstock which was so easy & saved my ink! They turned out cute and appropriate for the 5th grade level of "cool."

On Valentine's morning, Aaron & I got the kids each a Nerds Chewy candy and a small gift. Michael received Jocko Willink's book "Way of the Warrior Kid" and Noah received the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar. We've enjoyed reading this in the evenings together. Avery received a rainbow bath bomb. It looks like a smiley cloud but when it gets into the bath water, color streams out in a rainbow pattern. It's super cute and smells good!

Dance classes were canceled last week because of storms, so she had her dance class Valentine's party this past Thursday. She brought scrunchies in Cellophane bags with the phrase "I like you a Scrunch" (idea courtesy of momfessionals printable Valentine's post). Again, I ordered printed copies on cardstock from Office Depot & it was so easy & saved my sanity! She had a good time at her parties & came home with some good loot.

Aaron's been busy finishing up our shower tiling so we can fully officially "close" on our house and get out from the construction loan. Sometimes we get distracted with offering tractor rides and watching our kids play in the backyard and that's okay. This picture was from Tuesday evening. (Spot Noah in the background to the middle right and further back beyond him are Avery & Aaron on the tractor.)

Aaron captured this view of a sunset on Monday.

We're really enjoying the quiet country life!

More updates to come and eventually, a full house tour!

Until Next Time,

Much Love, Reba
